Hyderabad: July 8--Breaking News: Six people died after a 2-storeyed building of City Light Hotel in Secunderabad collapsed in Hyderabad around 6:30 am on Monday. While ten people are reported injured, many are feared trapped under debris after the building that housed the Iranian hotel collapsed.
Police, fire fighting personnel and rescue workers have managed to evacuate ten people from the rubble so far who are shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to eye witnessed, around 40 people could be trapped under debris. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) workers were seen clearing the debris.
The reason of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told reporters that six bodies were recovered while 11 injured were taken out.
The two-storey building of City Light hotel collapsed at around 6.30 am.
According to witnesses, scores might still be trapped under the rubble.
