CPI State secretary Dr K Narayana has said his party would launch a
nationwide movement against the looting of natural gas at KG Basin by
the Reliance Company.
Addressing the party protesters at
the Collectorate here on Monday against “looting of natural gas” at the
KG Basin by Reliance Company, Dr Narayana alleged that both Reliance
Company and the UPA government were behaving like co-dacoits. He found
fault with the Reliance Company for increasing production of gas
following the price hike and making false statements that there was no
gas in the basin at all.
The CPI leader said his party
would discuss the “looting of natural gas” by the on Reliance at the
party national executive committee meeting scheduled to be held on
August 7 and 8. He bemoaned that the nation would be at the receiving
end if it failed to protect the economic independence. He ridiculed
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for acting like a robot in the hands of
Reliance Company.
Speaking to the media later, Narayana
said the political uncertainty in the State was continuing. He said the
people were vexed with the UPA government’s inefficient rule. He also
questioned the Congress party, which failed to bring its own leaders on
to a single platform, could render justice to the State.
