Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar has complained to the State Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar that Karimnagr district Vemulawada TRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh was living abroad, and was unavailable to the people of the constituency.

Ramesh is the son of veteran communist leader Chennamaneni Rajeswara Rao who later joined the TDP and was elected to the Assembly.

Prabhakar has said in his complaint that the MLA was doing nothing for the development of his constituency.

Prabhakar has asked the speaker to take action against the MLA as he failed to perform his responsibilities as the local MLA.

Speaking to the media after meeting the Speaker, Prabhakar has said that it was improper on the part of Ramesh to speak about protocol. He said it was ridiculous on the part of the MLA to talk about protocol as he had not even 10 percent attendance in the Assembly.
